With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome a Experienced Refrigeration & HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team in a commercial airport environment.Scope of workThe successful candidate is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and resolve problems quickly. Strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and exceptional customer service skills are essential for success in this position..Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00per hour (Based on Experienced), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401kShift: 7:00am – 3:30 pm. Monday - Friday. Shift flexibility required to respond to emergency calls as operational needs determineJob ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipmentConduct routine maintenance inspections to ensure HVAC/R systems operate at peak efficiencyService commercial rooftops units, chillers, heat pumps, VAV systems, split systems & boilersInspect, repair and/or replace valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumpsAdhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all HVAC/R work, including handling refrigerants and other hazardous materialsDocument all work performed, including parts used, repairs completed, and maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate record-keepingCollaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budgetRequirementsMinimum of 5 years in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVACR systemsEPA 608 Certification or licensure as an HVAC/R Technician Strong understanding of HVACR principles, practices, and regulationsExperience using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot HVAC systems efficientlyProficiency in troubleshooting and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment, including ice machines, chillers, market cases, reach-in refrigerators, walk-in freezers, and walk-in refrigeratorsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team membersStrong attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team environmentValid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decisions are subject to our automobile insurance carrier's criteriaPreferred QualificationsAdditional certifications in specific HVAC/R systems or technologies (e.g., NATE certification).Experience working in commercial and/or industrial HVAC/R settingsKnowledge of environmental regulations related to HVACR systems and refrigerants. Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing laddersMust be able to lift 50 pounds unassistedAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
