Operations Manager-OSP

Job Overview Betatech is seeking an experienced and results driven Operations Manager-OSP (Outside Plant) to oversee and scale our outside plant construction operations. This role will be responsible for managing field teams, ensuring project execution, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving operational efficiency across multiple markets. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in fiber construction, underground and aerial builds, crew management, and telecom client relations. Duties Oversee day-to-day OSP construction operations (aerial, underground, and directional drilling) Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation Lead superintendents, project managers, and field crews Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Monitor production metrics and implement performance improvements Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and utility providers Oversee material procurement and inventory management Drive quality control and ensure projects meet engineering standards Support estimating and bid review processes Develop and maintain strong relationships with telecom partners Experience 5+ years of OSP construction management experience Strong knowledge of fiber optic construction (FTTH, backbone, coax, etc.) Experience managing underground and aerial crews Strong understanding of permitting, right-of-way, and utility coordination Proven leadership and team building skills Ability to manage P&L and project budgets Electrical experience related to power distribution within telecommunication environments is highly desirable. Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining safety standards in outdoor construction settings.
