Monitors and communicates project milestones and progress to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget. Partners across the Brand Development function to identify and resolve project issues; resolves the most complex problems using strong technical knowledge. Your Role:We are looking for a dynamic, packaging project manager to work leading the packaging artwork process, driving all packaging commercialization activities. This position requires proximity to New York City and may be required to visit the client office 1x per week. You will be working in a client’s office supporting an SGx team that is mostly remote.  Manage Projects and Coordinate Artwork ProductionOversee end-to-end workflow of packaging artwork from a highly detailed perspectiveOversee and communicate key timelines and prioritiesPartner and collaborate with internal teams in a positive, professional, and constructive wayAbility to engage in pre-production calls to support the packaging team where neededEducate existing and new client teams on their own creative standards and practices Coordinate and Traffic Artwork Production and PrepressTranslate client instructions into measurable and effective communication to all necessary end-usersPull pick-ups from artwork management system for SGx production as a reference to create mechanicalsUpdate SGx team with any new brand standardsLead/participate in meetings as needed to review active projects and action itemsCreate, manage and communicate project timelines and submission deadlinesManage extremely tight, sensitive timelines as needed with clear communications on any barriers and timeline risks managing client expectationsManage projects in workflow tool (DragonFly), monitor routing approvalsTrain new users including client employees and print vendors on the artwork management system and processSupervise and lead to help other members of team learn best practices regarding project management and communicationRequest color proofs or comp requests where fit Client Directed ResourcesLocate and share historical artwork filesManage projects from production initiation through supplier proof approvalPartner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure complete and accurate information is provided as required to successfully execute production workHost weekly artwork status call and attend Project Management callsAssist client quality team in artwork history where concerns ariseManage ad hoc requests, including international local production requestsMaintain tracking and effectively communicates project status and details, consistentlyCommunicate details about at-risk programs and escalate as neededEncourage packaging regulation compliancy and communicate expectations to cross-functional partnersReview and assess Packaging Design turnovers and identify project parametersMonitor consistency across packaging and product portfolioAssist print vendors with DragonFly needs including prepress proof status, troubleshooting, and system trainingDemonstrate good judgment in choosing methods of communication that are most effective and efficient (i.e., team meetings, in-person visits, phone calls, email)Propose meetings as needed to resolve bottlenecks quickly and effectivelyAttend monthly staff meetings Business ContinuityProvide quality service by anticipating clients’ needs and regularly measuring satisfactionDemonstrate good judgment in choosing methods of communication that are most effective and efficient (i.e., team meetings, in-person visits, phone calls, email)Nurture good relationship with clients, develop trust and stay alert to potential business opportunities ReportingCreate Quarterly business Review reports to assess client satisfaction and performanceHold semi-annual meetings with Directors by Department to discuss KPI ReportsDevelop, improve and consistently streamline workflow processesReview billing and invoicingMaintain project tracker for all active SKUs Qualifications:Microsoft Office experience requiredFully conversant with Adobe CS or Adobe certification is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsKnowledge of artwork management systemsAble to work effectively and efficiently towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demandsComfortable with interacting with clients of all levels, printers and suppliers.Must be forward thinking and improvement driven Education and Experience:5-10 years’ experience in: cosmetic packaging, artwork, creative project managementEducation degree or equivalent in print, graphic design idealStrong understanding of print, production, design, art industry, pre-press, color management theoryClient-facing experience is a must Location:New York, NY: Hybrid model About Propelis: Propelis is a portfolio of global marketing services and technology companies with a combined legacy of 150+ years, 2,000+ clients, 9,000 employees, and operations across 30 countries. The U.S. pay range for this position is $80,000 USD - $90,000 USD annually.
