The successful candidate will be responsible for leading legal collaboration throughout the entire product lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks. This role involves partnering with various internal teams to provide practical legal advice, negotiating and drafting a range of agreements with vendors and ecosystem partners, and developing customer-facing contract terms. The Senior Counsel will also be tasked with assessing legal risks related to product features, data use, integrations, and distribution models, and leading the development of solutions to address these risks. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should hold a J.D. and be an active member of a state Bar. A minimum of 5 years' experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial transactions, including technology and SaaS contracts, is required. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of data privacy and security laws, including HIPAA, and the ability to apply them in a SaaS context. Strong contract negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to interpret laws, regulations, and legal documents are essential.
