CNC Machine / Manual Lathe machine operator

Job Description This is an entry level position for a person to get into a machine shop environmentand learn to become a CNC Operator/Machinist.This is a part-time role that has the potential to become a full time role depending on the individual and the needs of the business and business growth.This is the standard entry point. Core responsibilities are:Always work and operate in a safe mannerLoading and unloading partsRunning pre-programmed machinesBasic inspection (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Monitoring for tool wear or coolant issuesDeburring and basic finishingbasic problem solving at the machine or work centerNo programming knowledge required — follow setup sheets and work instructions. In a precision shop like PRP, this person would be running our turning centers or mills on repeat jobs.
