We are seeking an individual to act as YARD COACH at our school and: Ensure that all of our students are playing safely during their non-classroom school hours Promote a positive and inclusive school culture throughout the school Work with teachers and Administration to prevent conflicts, solve problems, and provide a safe, engaging environment for all of Chabot’s students. M-F all school days, 3 - 8 hours/day , August, 2022-May 2023 Rate of Pay: salary commensurate with experience Specific Duties Include: Supervise groups of school age children during recess/after school Direct and manage structured, age appropriate games at all recesses. Help students manage conflicts and disagreement Lead games and activities to ensure a positive environment Maintain appropriate records. Communicate with teachers, administration and families about students’ socio-emotional well being. Option to work in after school program Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Ability to pass background check--required Experience leading groups of children with the ability to engage and inspire youth Experience with Playworks, Sportability, Sports for Kids or other structured recreation program preferred Self-starter, outgoing and professional manner, team player—who works well with peers Commitment to equity; Growth mind set Some child development coursework preferred Please email cover letter and resume to the address below.
