TeraData Developer
Overview
In this role you will drive requirements elicitation and translate business needs into design for data and analytics solutions. You will coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders, manage timelines and escalations, and provide timely status updates as part of a strong project-management approach. You will work with Teradata-based data architectures, optimize performance for large volumes, and implement SQL-based components guided by standards. This is a hands-on data warehousing/BI position that combines analytics, engineering, and collaboration to deliver scalable solutions. You will leverage Teradata and SQL expertise to shape data pipelines and reporting capabilities in a fast-paced IT setting
ResponsibilitiesElicit and analyze requirements and translate them into designCoordinate with SMEs and stakeholders; manage timelines and escalations; provide on-time statusApply project-management practices to ensure deliveryWork with Teradata concepts and utilities (TPT, TPump, BTEQ, fastload, fastexport, multiload)Develop SQL components (views, procedures, macros, functions) per requirements and standardsPerform performance tuning and optimization for large data volumes in TeradataPossibly work with Big Data technologies and BI/DW conceptsWrite Unix Shell scripting as a must
