SharePoint Developer (Full-time Remote, North Carolina Based)
The SharePoint Developer develops and designs SharePoint websites and designs forms. Developers are responsible for ensuring that requirements are met, and the developed solution is technically sound. The SharePoint Developer will employ technologies that adhere to standards established by the organization, contractual requirements, industry standards and best practices and compliance with HIPAA and related security regulations.This position is full-time remote. Selected candidate must reside in North Carolina and be willing to travel to the home office (Morrisville, NC) for onsite team meetings as needed.Responsibilities & DutiesSharePoint Development and AdministrationDesign, develop, debug, test, deploy, document, and maintain SharePoint solutionsUse out-of-the-box functionality, as well as custom SharePoint forms and development using SharePoint Framework SPFxImplement, deploy, package, and maintain intranet portal site and SharePoint siteContribute to the process development and best practice. Look at new ways to improve resilience, performance levels and supportabilityKeep abreast of technical developments of operational importance to the agency and to participate in developing or setting standards as directedCustomize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and workflows using third party tools and Power Automate to enhance functionality and streamline business processesOversee end to end migrations from SharePoint on premises to SharePoint Online, ensuring a secure, efficient, and seamless transition for users and business processesFollow SharePoint best practices in content management and taxonomyCollaborationParticipate in the architectural design, development, customization, and integration efforts of solutions involving collaboration, portals, content management, and workflowsCollaborate with SharePoint leadership, cross functional development teams, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, design enhancements, and deliver customized SharePoint solutions that support business objectivesEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholdersDevelop & Maintain DocumentationDevelop both technical and end user documentationEnsure that applications and related services are documented and kept currentProvide support and training to end-users, addressing technical issues and enhancing user knowledge of SharePoint features and best practicesProvide End User SupportAid with on-going SharePoint websites/Intranet application maintenanceHandle support ticketsProvide training for end usersMinimum RequirementsEducation & Experience:Associates/Technical degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited College/University and at least five (5) years of professional experience developing and/or maintaining SharePoint solutionsOrBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited College/University and at least three (3) years of professional experience developing and/or maintaining SharePoint solutionsPreferred :Bachelor's degreeDemonstrated expertise with the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and PowerShell scripting to support advanced SharePoint administration and automation.Familiarity with intranet site design and hands on experience integrating Microsoft products—such as Viva, Teams, Planner, and Power BI—into SharePoint to enhance collaboration and user experience.Additional Training Preferred :Microsoft certified training in the areas specifically support by this position preferred.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge of SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online M365Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for architecting solutions, including design patterns and Agile methodologies.Basic knowledge and understanding of SDLC process, performing unit testing, and packing to deploy from development to Production.Knowledge of and experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft FlowKnowledge and experience with SQLAdvanced technical writing skillsExcellent customer service skillsExcellent presentation skillsAnalytical skillsAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to problem solveAbility to discuss solution with end users, understanding their business needs and how to.Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as work independentlyEmployment for this position is contingent upon a satisfactory background check, which will be performed after acceptance of an offer of employment and prior to the employee's start date.Salary Range$91,884-$117,152/AnnuallyExact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.An excellent fringe benefit package accompanies the salary, which includes:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long Term DisabilityGenerous retirement savings planFlexible work schedules including hybrid/remote optionsPaid time off including vacation, sick leave, holiday, management leaveDress flexibility
