We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to join our team in Livermore, CA. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working primarily from home with occasional travel to PG&E locations. If you have a knack for technical writing and a flair for developing engaging training materials, we want to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop instructor-led and on-the-job training for apprenticeships in the Power Generation utility industry.Create learning materials, including hands-on practice activities, guides, scenarios, videos, assessments, and simulations.Conduct detailed task analysis for job functions and business processes.Define learning objectives and course structures aligned with stakeholder needs.Collaborate with the Senior Instructional Designer to apply company standards and templates.Engage with subject matter experts for content review and validation.Participate in milestone meetings and training sessions. Requirements3 years of experience in developing instructor-led training for technical skills.Bachelor's degree in instructional design or education-related fields.Proficiency in instructional design methodologies and technical writing.Experience with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.Strong communication skills and ability to self-manage tasks and deadlines. PreferencesExperience in hydroelectric operations, general construction, or heavy equipment operation.Master's degree in instructional design or education-related fields.Familiarity with QuestionMark, Author-It, and/or Articulate 360.Graphic design skills and teaching experience.Previous experience with PG&E Academy.This contract role offers the potential for extension.
