Instructional Designer - Training Curriculum DevelopmentJoin our dynamic team as an Instructional Designer based in the beautiful Bay Area, with a primary focus in Livermore, CA. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects in the utilities industry, developing instructor-led and on-the-job training programs. You'll be part of a collaborative environment where innovation and excellence are at the forefront.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop instructor-led and on-the-job training for apprenticeships in the utilities industry.Leverage established instructional design methodologies to assess stakeholder needs and evaluate delivered training.Create learning materials for technical content, including hands-on practice activities, guides, scenarios, videos, assessments, and simulations.Perform detailed task analysis for job functions, business processes, or systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content.Define learning objectives and course structure aligned with stakeholder needs.Work under the direction of the Senior Instructional Designer to apply company standards and guidelines.Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts for the target audience.Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation.Self-manage tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables.Proactively communicate issues and risks. Requirements3 years of experience developing instructor-led training and on-the-job tasks for technical skills.Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.Proven experience performing task analysis.Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver against multiple competing deadlines. PreferencesExperience developing multi-year technical training programs for adult learners.Experience with QuestionMark, Author-It, and/or Storyline.PG&E Academy experience is a plus. LocationMust be located in the PG&E territory.
