Finishing Operator IIWe are seeking a skilled Finishing Operator II to support manufacturing and finishing operations in an industrial production environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of finishing machines, CNC equipment, and hand tools used in grinding and finishing operations. Products may range from initial shaping through final finishing and may involve complex geometry, precision tolerances, and computer-controlled machinery.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate finishing machines and equipment for grinding, shaping, and finishing operationsWork from engineered specifications, blueprints, work orders, and machine instructionsOperate CNC and computer-controlled finishing equipment with more advanced machine setupsPerform dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, plug gauges, and dial indicatorsHandle manufactured products including abrasive wheels, abrasive segments, ceramic finishes, and kiln furnitureVerify product quality, appearance, dimensions, and tolerances against specificationsMake machine adjustments and minor program edits when necessaryLoad and unload materials manually or with lifting devices/hoistsObserve machine operations and troubleshoot issues to maintain quality and productivityRecord production and processing data accurately on forms and computer systemsUse hand tools and finishing equipment to trim, shape, scrape, deburr, sandblast, cut, and balance productsMaintain safe operation of equipment and follow all PPE and safety requirementsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredTechnical school training, apprenticeship, or equivalent manufacturing/machining experience preferredExperience operating CNC machines and related manufacturing equipment preferredAbility to read blueprints and apply trade mathematics for measurements and dimensional verificationStrong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances and precision measurementsAbility to work independently after training periodMinimum of 4 months of related work experience preferred to achieve proficiency in all phases of the rolePhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistanceAbility to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities including walking, bending, crouching, climbing, kneeling, and reachingComfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, dust, fumes, and moving mechanical partsHearing protection, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, and other PPE requiredOvertime may be required
