Project Engineering Manager | Non-remote

Brainchild Engineering is looking for talented product development leaders to join our world-class physical product development team. In this role, you will manage a team of designers, engineers, marketers, etc. in the development and launch of new physical products. Projects range from medical devices to consumer gadgets, industrial machinery, and more. Most of our clients are in the "start up" space. You will interface directly with clients and do everything necessary to ensure a smooth and efficient process, all the way from "napkin sketch" through to prototyping, manufacturing, and eventually product launch. The ideal candidates should have experience in physical product development. We've found that mechanical engineers and industrial designers tend to do well in this position, but we're open to other backgrounds as well. Our prototyping workshop location is in Novi, Michigan. Here we prototype and test new physical products. While much of your work will be done on the computer and phone, you will still be expected to physically work in the workshop/office environment and participate in your prototype builds. Most of our engineers work remotely.
