Job Description Foreman We are a reputable, stable excavation company, in business for over 15 years and specializing in road/sidewalk construction, box culverts, retaining walls, drainage, concrete flat work, grading and much more. With projects range from $5,000 to $4 million. Reporting to the president, the Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the excavation phase of our construction projects ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule, in accordance with the company specifications, and work is completed safety, timely, accurate, and within the job specifications. Winter work is available for the right person with the right skillset or take optional Jan-Feb layoff. Must have a valid C class License. We provide the following: Top-of-the-line heavy equipment supported by tools including Leica GPS Systems. Engcon excavator attachments, and late model trucks. Company Vehicle. Salary based on experience, ability to lead, quality of work performed and communication skills. Typical range is $65-$100k 401k with up to 4% employer match. Performance Bonuses Earned paid time off Essential Responsiblities Lead and perform tasks such as layout, excavating and grading, installing drainage pipe and structures, conduit, concrete, etc. Oversee a crew of laborers, ensuring that works is performed accurately and rules are being adhered to. Perform reports of daily work and communicate jobsite progress with owner. Plan construction activities for jobsite and confirm materials required are available. Job Requirements Must have a valid C class License. Minimum 3 years of civil construction/education experience. Positive attitude, team player, and self-motivated. Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and ability to convey to others. Aptitude in math and strong problem-solving abilities. Good physical condition and stamina.
