For our client, we are seeking a Director Infrastructure Compute Procurement to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $300,000 – $360,000 annuallyResponsibilities Own supplier relationships and negotiate pricing frameworks for compute hardware Create sourcing strategies for hyperscale infrastructure procurement Drive savings through vendor consolidation and optimization across procurement spend Operationalize tax-optimized procurement for data center equipment Lead international procurement operations and manage vendor transitions Implement Asset Lifecycle Management initiatives in procurement processes Build and lead the Infrastructure Compute Procurement team while ensuring process excellenceQualifications Deep knowledge of compute infrastructure components, including servers and networking equipment Experience managing capital procurement portfolios worth multi-billion dollars Understanding of procure-to-pay processes and asset lifecycle management Familiarity with compliance in SOX environments and financial control frameworks Experience with cross-border procurement operations and VAT/GST recovery Proven skills in process improvement and systems implementation in growth settings Leadership and influencing skills in systems designBenefits Visa sponsorship available Flexible hybrid work policy, with an expectation to be in-office 25% of the time Opportunities for career advancement within a rapidly growing AI-focused companyOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
