Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.About The Role As Director Sourcing, Infrastructure Supply Chain Hardware, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for compute, storage, networking equipment, and infrastructure services supporting hyperscale datacenter operations. You will build and manage supplier relationships with OEMs, ODMs, component manufacturers, and service providers to deliver capacity, cost optimization, quality, and innovation objectives.Focus Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, technology roadmaps, and supply dynamics; provide market intelligence to engineering and business stakeholders on total cost of ownership, lead times, capacity, and innovation opportunitiesIdentify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers; manage relationships ensuring performance excellence in delivery, quality, cost, and innovation through scorecards, KPIs, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs)Conduct competitive bidding, RFx processes, and negotiations with OEMs, ODMs, networking vendors and VARsLead contract negotiations including pricing, terms, SLAs, and warranties; manage MSAs, purchase agreements, and SOWs while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and governance requirementsPartner with capacity planning, engineering, and program management teams to forecast infrastructure needs and align procurement timelines with deployment schedulesDevelop and execute multi-year category strategies for compute servers, storage, networking equipment (switches, routers, optics), core components (CPUs, GPUs, memory), and infrastructure servicesBasic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of sourcing, procurement, or category management in technology, IT hardware, or hyperscale/HPC environmentsExperience with supply chain management, logistics, demand planning, and capacity forecasting in high-volume environmentsStrong negotiation and contract management skills with proven track record delivering cost savings and business valueExcellent analytical, financial modeling, and stakeholder management skills; proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and procurement systemsPreferred Qualifications Master's degree (MBA) or advanced degree; 8+ years in strategic sourcing at hyperscale providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, OCI, Meta) or large technology companiesDeep understanding of datacenter infrastructure (compute servers, storage, networking, components)Established relationships with OEMs (Dell, Supermicro, HPE, etc.), networking equipment (Arista, Juniper, Cisco, etc.), core components (Intel, AMD, Nvidia, etc.), and VARs, integrators, distributors, and various other service providersSalary & Benefits Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity); base salary range $250,000–$350,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and locationRetirement or pension plan, in line with local normsHealth, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous PTO policy, in line with local normsEquity in the form of stock options may also be includedWe are committed to pay equity and transparency.Fluidstack is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
