DescriptionJob Overview: The Maintenance Technician I performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems. The resulting creation of wealth will grow opportunities for all.Duties and Responsibilities:Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work areaRepairs or replaces defective equipment, components, or wiringTests electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipmentRecords and reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work ordersTests pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks, uses pressure gauge or soap-and-water solutionPerforms preventive and general maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing and vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, and changing filtersInspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals; repairs or replaces broken partsCleans and inspects boiler; treats water with proper chemicals. Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets; installs window blindsCompletes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance proceduresInstalls electrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services, wiring during remodeling projects; replaces and repairs wiring as neededRepairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipmentMay repair electrical locks and control panels to maintain building securityResponds to emergencies as required and trainedAssists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures. Maintains records of scheduled maintenance proceduresMay perform exterior duties such as snow removal, parking lot mechanical repairs, as requiredMay move furniture; may assist others with production of conference center or amphitheater eventsMay obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as neededAssists with other work in coordination with repair and maintenance teamsInstalls, connects, and adjusts thermostats, humidistats and timers, using hand toolsJoins pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant source, to form complete circuitCuts and drills holes in floors, walls, and roof to install equipment, using power saws and drillsWraps pipes in insulation, securing it in place with cement or wire bandsMeasure, cut, thread, and bend pipe or tubing, using pipefitter's toolsOther duties and responsibilities as assignedJob Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)High School diploma or GED required or enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employmentMust be twenty-one (21) years of age or olderMust have at least one (1) years general commercial property maintenance experience- requiredMust have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as requiredMay be responsible for furnishing own hand toolsMust have good hearing and eyesightMust have ability to read, write and understand EnglishWilling to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidaysWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Florida Statues and remain in good standing with the Florida Gaming Control Commission as a requirement for this positionMust have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environmentNATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN PREFERENCE IN HIRING POLICY SHALL BE ADHERED TO AT ALL TIMESComplaints about the recruitment or selection process for employment should be directed in writing to office of the President and CEO of Wind Creek Hospitality.
