Job Description Job Opportunity: Board Certified OB-GYN for Hospitalist/Laborist PositionOur organization is on the lookout for Board Certified OB-GYN professionals to join us in a Hospitalist/Laborist capacity. This position offers exceptional support from various specialties, including Neonatology, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM), Pediatrics, and Adult Medical Services. We have openings at our facilities, which include a Level III NICU at one hospital and a Level II NICU at another. Our hospitals are bustling with skilled OB-GYNs, both employed and in private practice, collectively managing over 5,000 deliveries annually. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive care for both mothers and infants within the same facility and are eager to welcome providers who are passionate about serving the women of Western New York.Key Features of the RoleAttractive Compensation: $290,000 for full-time positions.Potential Sign-On Bonus: Available for full-time candidates.Non-Profit Status: Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).Full-Time Schedule: 7 days of 24-hour shifts (1 weekend per month).Part-Time Flexibility: Possible accommodations for part-time schedules.Collaborative Environment: Work alongside an experienced team.24/7 Neonatology Support: Provided by Board Certified Neonatologists.MFM Consultations: Available as needed.Essential QualificationsBoard Certified in OB-GYN.Must possess a current, unrestricted license in New York State.Experience with high-risk cases.Emergency surgical skills required.Primary ResponsibilitiesDeliver routine care for all obstetrical patients.Provide in-house obstetrical services, including emergency cesarean sections, spontaneous vaginal births, and operative vaginal births, as well as rounding on antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients.Offer backup support to obstetrical providers upon request, including VBAC coverage.Assist fellow attending physicians in surgical procedures and perform emergency GYN interventions as needed.Labor & Delivery EnvironmentThe Labor and Delivery unit is seamlessly integrated with postpartum care and the NICU. Effective communication and handoffs are prioritized, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. All staff, including nurses, are certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring, and safety drills are a regular practice within our culture.Supportive ColleaguesOur team includes experienced adult and pediatric providers, such as Board Certified Neonatologists, adult specialists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Pediatricians. Maternal-Fetal Medicine coverage is readily available for consultations.
