Power Bi DeveloperLocation: Phoenix, AZRate: $45 w2We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Power BI development, solid experience with GitHub-based code migrations, and exposure to Change Management and Incident Management processes. The candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile project delivery environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI ServiceDevelop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIsPerform data modeling using star/snowflake schemasOptimize report performance and ensure scalabilityImplement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance practicesIntegrate Power BI with various data sources (SQL Server, APIs, cloud platforms, etc.)GitHub & Code MigrationManage Power BI artifacts (PBIX, datasets, scripts) through GitHub repositoriesPerform version control, branching, pull requests, and code reviewsSupport CI/CD pipelines for report deploymentHandle migrations across environments (Dev, UAT, Prod)Maintain proper documentation and repository standardsChange & Incident ManagementParticipate in Change Management processes (CAB approvals, release documentation, impact analysis)Handle production deployments and rollback strategiesManage and resolve incidents within defined SLAsPerform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measuresCoordinate with support teams for issue resolutionAgile DeliveryWork in Agile/Scrum frameworkParticipate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectivesCollaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Business StakeholdersDeliver incremental releases aligned with sprint goalsProvide effort estimations and meet sprint commitmentsRequired Skills & Qualifications39 years of overall IT experienceStrong hands-on expertise in Power BI (minimum 23+ years practical development experience)Advanced knowledge of:DAXPower Query (M language)Data modeling conceptsStrong SQL skillsExperience with GitHub (branching strategy, code merges, conflict resolution)Knowledge of CI/CD concepts for BI deploymentsExperience in Incident Management & Change Management frameworks (ITIL preferred)Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud composer, Pub/sub model)Knowledge of Power BI deployment pipelinesExposure to DevOps tools (Github actions, Jenkins.)
