Head of Business Development (API) - CDMO

We are partnered with an established player in the small molecule space who are seeking a Head of Business Development for a new business unit, which will be providing API CDMO services globally.This individual will be the first sales hire for this unit and start out as an individual contributor, before later building out a team underneath them.Job ResponsibilitiesLead global business development efforts for the API CDMO business unit, driving revenue growth and market penetration across key regionsIdentify, target, and secure new client partnerships across biotech, pharma, and emerging biotech companiesBuild and execute a strategic commercial plan aligned with the company’s capabilities and long-term growth objectivesJob RequirementsProven track record in business development or sales within the CDMO, API, or broader pharmaceutical services spaceStrong understanding of small molecule development and manufacturing, including API processes and lifecycle stagesDemonstrated success in closing complex, high-value deals with biotech and/or pharmaceutical clients
