SummaryWe are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join an innovative, VC-backed healthcare technology company focused on leveraging AI to improve brain and cognitive health outcomes. This role will serve as a key technical leader, partnering closely with executive, clinical, and operational stakeholders to build and scale products that support patient experiences, clinical workflows, and business operations. The ideal candidate brings deep full-stack expertise, hands-on experience with AI-powered systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare technology and integrations. This is a highly autonomous role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and driving initiatives from concept to production.Key ResponsibilitiesLead engineering efforts across patient-facing products, clinical workflows, and internal business operationsPartner closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver impactful solutionsDesign, build, and maintain scalable web applications, integrations, and automation workflowsDevelop and optimize AI-powered systems, agentic workflows, and business process automationIntegrate with healthcare platforms, billing systems, CRMs, and third-party vendorsSupport healthcare data interoperability initiatives, including integrations involving standards such as HL7 and FHIRBuild and maintain cloud-native services and infrastructure on AWS and related platformsEnsure solutions meet healthcare security, privacy, and compliance requirementsContribute across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through implementation and ongoing optimizationOperate as a highly autonomous contributor capable of owning technical initiatives end-to-endCore Requirements10+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experienceStrong experience building applications with modern backend technologies such as Python, Go, Ruby, or similarFrontend development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and toolingProficiency in at least two modern programming languagesExperience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDBProven track record designing, implementing, and scaling high-traffic applications and services on AWS or GCPStrong hands-on experience building AI-enabled products, workflows, or automation systemsExperience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve engineering efficiency and product capabilitiesPrevious experience working within healthcare organizations, healthcare technology companies, or patient-care focused environmentsExperience with healthcare data, interoperability standards, and integrations, including HL7 and FHIRExperience integrating with third-party systems such as EMRs, billing platforms, CRMs, marketing tools, and external data providersFamiliarity with connected health devices and platforms such as Apple Health, Google Health, Oura, or similar ecosystemsStrong understanding of healthcare security, privacy, and compliance requirements, including HIPAAComfortable working directly with executives, operators, and cross-functional stakeholdersAbility to operate independently and take ownership of technical initiatives in a startup environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environmentNice-to-HaveExperience with healthcare EMR platforms and integrationsExperience with workflow automation and orchestration platforms such as n8nFamiliarity with CRM, project management, and operational toolingExperience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or HITRUSTPrior experience supporting venture-backed startups or high-growth environmentsAdditionalUS Timezone Overlap: 7h-8h/day overlap with U.S. East Coast working hours required.This role is best suited for an engineer who enjoys ambiguity, moves quickly, and is excited to work directly with leadership teams to shape both product direction and technical strategy.
