If you have a servant’s heart and want to be part of something truly special, then Caritas Family Solutions needs you.Caritas Family Solutions, formerly known as Human Support Services is seeking a flexible and compassionate caregiver to serve as a temporary Direct Service Providers (DSP) in our Community Day Services (CDS) home in Waterloo, IL.This temporary role is perfect for emotionally mature professionals who are passionate about supporting people living with developmental disabilities.Position SummaryShift: Full-Time Temporary (timeline depends on clients needs, expecting 3 to 6 months)Hours: Day shifts - 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday thru FridaySalary: $18.35 dollars per hour + opportunity for benefits depending on durationLocation: Waterloo, ILDistinguishing Features Of WorkDirectly relates to the CDS Site Manager for administration and program issuesWorks with the QIDP for clinical issuesIs responsible for the clients while they are in the CDS Program see that they are safe and following their treatment planIllustrative Description Of DutiesProvide each assigned client the training necessary to achieve his/her Individual Service Plan goals and program goals.Conduct his/her assigned classes/training sessions as scheduled.Maintain sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Document all activities as directed Intuition, goals, or other forms.Complete all needed paper work in timely fashion for services provided to clients.Provide direct service care as requiredFollow all safety proceduresAdministrative DutiesFollow and implement all medication procedures as assigned Participate in the planning of consumers’ Individual Treatment PlanDo related progress notes per the goals assigned to you for billing purposes and provide all the services indicated in the treatment plan and all other documentation necessary in a timely mannerProvide necessary information regarding consumer care to manager and/or appropriate staff in a timely mannerRequirementsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be 18 years of age Must already have DSP Training completed and registered on the IL Healthcare Worker RegistryMust have valid driver’s licenseHave adequate transportation to be able to move from site to siteAbility to drive a regular size and larger size van or willing to be trainedPresent High School diploma or GEDAble to lift 50 pounds and walk flights of stairsHave normal or corrective eyewear and hearing devicesHave clarity of speech to be understoodGood hearingConstitution to handle body excrementsMust be emotionally stable enough to react appropriately to a consumer in crisisOtherBe available to fill shifts as neededSuccessfully complete orientation programAble to provide basic living skills to adultsWork within agency structure and accept supervisionWork constructively using team approach with peersWork with providers in the communityMust feel confident to report abuse and neglect of consumers/staff to supervisorMust be flexible and open-mindedDo other duties as assigned and/or as mutually agreed uponDrug Free WorkplaceCaritas Family Solutions is dedicated to maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive environment for our clients and employees.
