JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Cardiac Anesthesiologist Job Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Location: Mountain Home, AR Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Clinical Shift Schedule: Regular weekday shifts with responsibilities across surgical and cardiac care areas PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults requiring general and cardiac anesthesia Patient Volume/Census: Varies across ORs, Cath Lab, and procedural areas Admissions: Yes Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Cardiac and general surgical procedures FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Facility: 268 Office Equipment Available: 11 surgical suites (including Hybrid OR), 6 outpatient surgical suites, 2 Cath Labs (3rd under construction) Specialty Backup Available: Yes 145 physicians across 32 specialties Support Staff Available: CRNAs and procedural teams Reason for Coverage: Expansion of cardiac services PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary: $750,000 Time Off: 810+ weeks Benefits: - Employed through Arkansas Anesthesia Associates - Access to advanced OR and Cath Lab facilities - Comprehensive support staff and infrastructure REQUIRED PROCEDURES Cardiac anesthesia administration General anesthesia for inpatient and outpatient procedures Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), if certified JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Arkansas medical license (or eligibility to obtain) Certifications: - Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology - Cardiac anesthesia training or equivalent experience, or TEE certification Experience: Prior cardiac anesthesia experience preferred Other Qualifications: - Commitment to clinical excellence and teamwork - Interest in joining a community-focused, high-quality healthcare organization DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide anesthesia services for cardiac procedures and general surgery cases Collaborate with Cath Lab staff, cardiac teams, and surgical departments Participate in case reviews, planning, and protocol development Maintain patient safety and procedural accuracy across varied settings Engage in continuous improvement and clinical excellence initiatives
