Lead Plant Operator (Shift Supervisor)

Their operations focus on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency-ensuring that generating facilities run effectively while meeting environmental and regulatory standards.As a Lead Plant Operator (Shift Supervisor), you will oversee the safe and efficient daily operation of a power generation facility. You'll supervise plant operators, monitor and control generating equipment, coordinate plant operations activities, and ensure compliance with operational procedures and safety protocols. Responsibilities include directing shift personnel, troubleshooting plant systems, responding to abnormal conditions, maintaining operational logs, and ensuring plant systems meet performance and regulatory requirements.This role strongly aligns with veterans who have experience operating complex technical systems in mission-critical environments. Military backgrounds such as Navy Nuclear Propulsion (MMN, EMN, ETN), Army 12P Prime Power, Air Force Power Production (3E0X2), or senior enlisted operators responsible for plant or power generation equipment translate well. Veterans accustomed to monitoring control systems, leading shift teams, following strict procedures, and responding to system abnormalities will thrive in this environment.This is a plant-based operational leadership role requiring work in both control room and field environments. The Lead Plant Operator will supervise shift personnel, coordinate operations activities, monitor system performance, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
