About the Role RBM Partners is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support the financial performance of our real estate portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys consistency, accuracy, and wants to grow their technical accounting knowledge in a supportive, team-focused environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while gaining hands-on experience across multiple properties and accounting functions. What You'll DoManage monthly close processes including journal entries, accruals/deferrals, and financial statement preparation (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)Complete bank reconciliations and monitor property cash flow, identifying and resolving variancesSupport AP/AR processes, ensuring accurate coding, invoice processing, and tenant ledger integrityAssist with budgeting, variance analysis, and CAM/tax/insurance reconciliationsMaintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies; support audits and tax preparationProvide timely and accurate financial information to property teams and leadershipUtilize AppFolio/ERP systems efficiently and identify opportunities to improve processes What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience2+ years of accounting experience (property or multi-entity experience preferred)Knowledge of GAAP basics and strong Excel skillsExperience with AppFolio or similar ERP systems is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsClear, professional communication skillsAbility to manage deadlines in a structured, recurring cycle environment Why You'll Love Working HereSmall, collaborative team where your contributions are visible and valuedWork directly with an experienced mentor who will help you develop your skillsOpportunity for significant knowledge growth across property accounting and financial operationsStable, structured role with consistent responsibilities and clear expectationsSupportive environment focused on doing quality work the right way Additional DetailsOccasional overtime during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cyclesPrimarily desk-based work with extended computer useMust be eligible to work and pass background screening as applicable 8:30-5pm M-F
