Eligible to work alternative hours per department needs and supervisor approval.Supervisor Role: No Hourly, NonexemptOverall Descriptions of the Position: Financial Assistant Floaters at The Gori Law Firm will work within the Accounting Department to process settlements, maintain financial records, perform clerical duties, and assist the team as needed to support the success of the Accounting Department.Skills/Abilities: 3-5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experienceCompetent to Proficient knowledge and demonstrated skill set in:MS Office Word, Excel, and AdobeTyping, inputting, and processing numbersMathematical capability to process fractions and percentagesGeneral knowledge of financial recordkeeping and accounting principlesExceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy within a fast-paced work environmentAbility to communicate effectively with coworkers and clientsSelf-motivated and well-organized with the ability to prioritize and multitaskCustomer Service skills preferredPunctual and predictable attendanceJob duties must be regularly performed in the office with prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerPosition Duties (including, but not limited to): Assist with level I tasks as neededAssist with financial data entry and general bookkeeping.Prepare spreadsheets for data entry.Maintain accurate records in accounting software and electronic client management systems.Scan, print, and save documents.Responsible for distributing payment for fees & costs, co-counsel, and client funds.Client trust account maintenance.Finalize and process settlementsProvide excellent customer service to clients, co-counsel, and team attorneys/paralegals regarding account status and payment.Assist with internal audits of client trust accounts.Responsible for accounts receivable and payables for the Firm, including 1099 preparation.Other duties as assigned.Education, Certificates and Licenses:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.Three to five years of accounting experience required.Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.Salary And BenefitsBenefits package include Health Insurance, Vision Insurance, Dental and Orthodontia Insurance, Short-term disability, Long-term Disability, Life Insurance, 401(k), Continuing Education, Pet Insurance, Identity Theft Protection, Free Gym AccessSalary range $22.00-$25.00/hour
