Responsible for the cutting of sheet metal to size for jobs per Customer’s engineering drawings and specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform visual inspection of part and traveler Verify specific material callouts on traveler Verify material certificates to the Customers’ parts list Verify accuracy of job/workmanship when performing job Maintain specifications by observing operations and the wear and tear on shear machine Perform material handling safety procedures Verify accuracy of job/workmanship when performing job Maintain specifications by observing operations Adhere to all quality assurance procedures and processes Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality Miscellaneous tasks as assigned EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year experience with a saw and/or shear in an aerospace setting Ability to read blueprints and decipher drawings REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting Must have reliable transportation and be able to work overtime when needed Ability to read, write and understand English Proficient in blue print reading Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers and scales Ability to stay on task with minimal supervision Strong communication and problem solving skills Detail oriented
