With a culture built on safety, service, fun and friendliness, integrity, innovation, and results orientation, our mission at Six Flags New England is to create fun and thrills for all ages.Pay Starting at $17.00/HourEnsure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.Responsibilities:Testing the pool-water hourly and as required and make any necessary adjustments in water chemistry to the specification's required by Massachusetts Health Codes.Maintaining the filtration/circulation systems, including regular backwashing of the filter media and cleaning of the hair & lint strainers and skimmer baskets.Assist with general maintenance projects that include, but not limited to, painting, concrete repairs, landscaping and pressure washing.Maintaining the general pool area, and making any necessary minor repairs to insure the safety of the publicInforming the Senior Water Technician when supplies and chemicals are neededTaking appropriate steps in the event of a shut-down due to weather or other unplanned conditionsPerforming daily opening, operating, and closing proceduresTaking ownership of job and pride in the areaActing professionally at all timesEnforcing all Six Flags New England policiesAssisting in other areas of the Maintenance DepartmentPerforming other incidental and related duties as required and assignedQualifications:At least 18 years of ageExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalWillingness to work in outside weather conditions to include extreme temperatures, wet and humid weather or airborne particlesSome mechanical knowledge and background of pool maintenance preferredWillingness to learn about pool maintenanceOther Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. xmcpwfuWhile this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs, or technological developments) dictate.
