This role partners closely with shop leadership, technicians, and corporate EHS to ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while promoting a proactive safety culture. This role reports to the Wind & Motor Services EHS Manager.Travel Expected:5-10%ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance * Support implementation and enforcement of Shermco's EHS policies, procedures, and programs within the Motor Shop * Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations * Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses (JHAs)Incident Management * Assist in incident and near-miss investigations * Support root cause analysis and corrective actions * Track EHS metrics and follow-up actionsTraining & Safety Culture * Coordinate and deliver safety training * Support certification and training tracking * Participate in safety meetings and committeesEnvironmental & Hazardous Materials * Support hazardous material handling and disposal * Maintain SDS and chemical inventories * Support spill prevention and response Collaboration & Reporting * Partner with Motor Shop leadership * Assist with EHS reporting and auditsQualificationsRequired Qualifications * High school diploma or GED * 2+ years EHS or safety experience in an industrial or shop environment * Knowledge of OSHA regulations * Strong communication skillsPreferred Qualifications * Associate or bachelor's degree in safety or related field * OSHA 30 certification * First Aid/CPR certification * Lifting & Rigging CertificationPhysical Requirements * Ability to work in an active shop environment * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds * Ability to wear required PPE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE Shermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
