Director of Procurement

Our client is a national industrial distribution & supply chain platform serving multi-site retail and industrial customers across the United States. The company operates within a highly service-oriented, rapidly-changing environment that requires strong supplier relationships, operational execution, and supply continuity across a distributed network.Backed by a strong leadership team and continuing to invest in analytics and supply chain modernization, the company is seeking a hands-on procurement and sourcing leader to help optimize supplier strategy, improve cost structure, and enhance overall supply chain performance.The Director of Procurement will lead day-to-day procurement and strategic sourcing activities across a national supplier and distribution network. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will oversee strategic sourcing, supplier management, logistics procurement, inventory optimization, and supply continuity initiatives.Preference for candidates with exposure to gas distribution, cylinder-based logistics, or similarly dense distribution networks, who embrace AI, analytics, and process automation to drive smarter procurement and supply chain decision-making.Desired Background:7–15+ years of progressive experience across procurement, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, or distribution operationsExperience within industrial distribution, manufacturing, chemicals, gases, logistics, packaging, or other operationally intensive industries preferredStrong supplier negotiation and vendor management experiencePreference for gas distribution experienceWillingness to travel up to 20% of the time
