CNC ProgrammerHiFyve is hiring a CNC Programmer in the aerospace manufacturing industry in Wichita, KS!Shift: M-F 8am 5pmPay: $35$50/hrWe are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with strong CATIA V5 and Vericut experience to support large aerostructure part manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone with a strong machining background who enjoys programming complex, multi-axis parts while driving process improvements and cost efficiencyespecially on large-scale components.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide numerical control (NC), machining, and programming expertise for large aerostructure parts (>20')Establish technical requirements for manufacturing and production processesPlan, create, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry, and documentationDevelop and integrate new machining techniques, manufacturing methods, and equipmentDesign and plan tooling and fixtures for NC manufacturingCreate NC programs for multi-axis machines using CATIA V5 NCVerify and simulate NC programs using VericutOptimize machining processes and programs for cost reduction and efficiencyDevelop setup sheets and manufacturing instructionsTroubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and cost effectivenessManage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and production goalsGenerate NC programming using multiple programming languagesSpend approximately 75% of time programming and verifying NC code, and 25% on other engineering functionsRequired Skills & Experience35+ years of CNC programming experience requiredMust have experience with CATIA V5 and VericutExperience programming large parts or complex aerostructures strongly preferredPrevious CNC machining or operator experience in an aerospace environment preferredStrong understanding of machining processes, setups, and work holding principlesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong mechanical aptitude with solid problem-solving and reasoning skillsProficient computer skills with ability to learn new software applicationsKnowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) and configuration management principlesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritizeEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferredJourneyman certification or equivalent experience consideredMust be a U.S. citizen or valid green card holderWork Environment & Physical Requirements100% onsite role in a manufacturing environmentRegular attendance required with adherence to safety programsFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting (up to 15 lbs regularly, 30 lbs occasionally)Extended periods of sitting and computer work requiredMust be able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)Occasional overtime may be required
