Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager (APM)FloridaContractThe Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support Project Managers on projects of varying size and complexity and may independently manage smaller, less complex projects. This role serves as a key coordinator and liaison between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.The APM is responsible for maintaining document control, managing databases, and coordinating project activities and communications to ensure project objectives are achieved within established schedule and budget constraints.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist global practice and engineering disciplines on Design-only and/or EPC projectsSupport the Project Management team with RFP development, bid evaluation, contractor selection, and development of detailed scopes of workManage contractor submittals, RFIs, supplemental design instructions, and site drawing logsVerify contractor compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and material management programsExecute and administer contracts, including change order management, field change directives, invoice approvals, and schedule managementSupport project controls activities, including cost reporting, scheduling, work breakdown structure development, project setup and closeout in accounting systems, and field progress trackingAssist in the preparation of internal and external reports such as project budgets, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project status updatesParticipate in internal and external project risk reviews and coordinate with the Legal Department as neededManage contract and project closeout documentationAdhere to safety programs, training requirements, and policies, and actively promote strong Safety & Health performance across project teams and subcontractorsPerform other duties as assignedComply with all company policies and standardsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited programMinimum of 5 years of applicable project management or construction-related experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and work overtime on short notice when requiredHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Owners, Contractors, Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers in a multi-discipline project environmentExperience with Primavera Contract Manager or similar change management software is preferredWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on complex, high-impact projectsCollaborative, team-oriented work environmentStrong commitment to safety, quality, and professional developmentCompetitive compensation and benefits packageEEO Statement:Brooksource is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), gender identity or gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, protected medical condition as defined by applicable state or local law, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws and ordinances.Benefits & PerksBenefits & Perks: Brooksource offers competitive medical, dental, vision, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care FSA, and supplemental coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
