Travel Hospice RNCompany: Fusion Medical StaffingLocation: Facility in Dallas, TexasJob DetailsFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Hospice RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Dallas, Texas. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:One year of recent experience as an RN, including a minimum of six months in a hospice setting as an RNValid RN license in compliance with state regulationsBLS certification (AHA/ARC)Preferred Qualifications:Other certifications and licenses may be required for this positionSummary:A Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate end-of-life care to patients in their homes or hospice settings, focusing on comfort, pain management, and emotional support. Hospice RNs assess patient needs, coordinate care plans, and educate families to ensure patients experience dignity and peace in their final stages. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care while upholding hospice philosophy and regulatory standards.Essential Work Functions:Assess patient needs and develop individualized hospice care plans in collaboration with physicians and care teamsAdminister pain management interventions, medications, and treatments to ensure patient comfortEducate and support families and caregivers, helping them understand symptom management and end-of-life careMonitor changes in patient condition, adjusting interventions to maintain quality of lifeCoordinate care with hospice physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other team members to provide holistic supportDocument all care provided, symptom changes, and family interactions accurately and in compliance with hospice regulationsEnsure adherence to hospice best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirementsOffer emotional and psychological support to both patients and their loved ones during the end-of-life journeyCommunicate regularly with the hospice care team to ensure continuous, compassionate careComplete charting and documentation requirements while meeting visit and productivity goalsAdhere to infection control, safety, and healthcare regulationsPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
