Location: Canton, GA, United States, 30107Company: Chart IndustriesEnsuring Chart’s Success…The Aluminum Welder is responsible for performing precision welding and fabrication of aluminum components used in fin vaporizers (air‑ambient heat exchangers). This role requires high‑quality TIG welding on thin‑gauge aluminum, adherence to ASME and internal quality standards, and close collaboration with fabrication and inspection teams in a manufacturing environment. This role is located in our Ball Ground, Georgia facility and will work day shift Monday through Thursday, unless overtime is needed.What Will You Do?Perform TIG welding (and MIG where applicable) on aluminum fin vaporizer assemblies, headers, piping, and structural componentsWeld thin‑gauge aluminum fins and tubes without distortion or burn‑throughRead and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and work instructionsPrepare materials by cleaning, fitting, tacking, and aligning components prior to weldingMaintain consistent weld quality meeting ASME, AWS, and company specificationsPerform visual inspections and assist with pressure, leak, and NDT testing when requiredUse jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracyFollow welding procedures (WPS) and document work as requiredMaintain welding equipment and keep work area clean and organizedFollow all safety, quality, and environmental standardsCollaborate with production, quality and engineering to resolve weld-related issuesOther duties may be assigned based on business needsYour Physical Work Environment Will Require…Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Medium to loud noise level in the work environment.Required QualificationsYour Experience Should Be...High school diploma or GED, strongly preferredMinimum 2–5 years aluminum welding experience, preferably in manufacturingProficiency in TIG welding aluminum(thin material required)Will be given a 3G weld test, in addition to square butt, fillet, tube to plate welding (fillet weld) and groove joints.
