Location: Canton, GA, United States, 30107Company: Chart IndustriesEnsuring Chart’s Success…Cooler By Design” – Chart’s core business is centered around the design and fabrication of cryogenic equipment. The Fabricator/Welder position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products at our Ball Ground, Georgia facility. Employees will enjoy working four 10-hour days (overtime is generally Friday). We currently have openings on both day and night shifts.What Will You Do?Performs welding activities, including hand welding and material handling equipment, under general supervisionWelds metal parts on fixtures including attaching jigs and clamps to hold metal parts in proper positionDetermines type and gauge of steel to be welded making appropriate adjustments, as required, on large thickness variationsUses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels, as well as correct components installed on the finished productMeasure components using calipers, tape measures, and micrometers to ensure adherence to tolerances and specificationsUpdates and maintains all required documentation associated with job responsibilitiesAssume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and general housekeeping standards, such as care for assigned tools and proper disposal of hazardous wasteUnderstands and practices established safety and quality standard procedures, including utilization of chemical solutions to clean containersPerforms all tasks to ISO standards and requirementsMay be required to perform mass spec and visual inspections meeting stringent visual requirementsOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementYour Physical Work Environment Will Require…Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
