Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Pikeville, KY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,702 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required, 5 years preferred License: RN license required Certifications: CPR required, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG required Must-Have: - Associate’s degree in nursing required - Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred Description: Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process, within established standards and practices. Assesses and reassesses young adult, adult, and elderly patients. Demonstrates basic competency in specialized procedures and equipment, including cardiac monitoring. Cares for patients pre/post CABG and pre/post interventional cardiac procedures. Maintains and pulls sheaths, utilizes Angioseal/Vasoseal, and manages specialized medications/drips/titration. Operates ACT machines and assists with sedation and pain management. Handles chest tube care and insertion, TPN/PPN, KODA, central lines, and IV therapy. Maintains accurate and continuous nursing documentation, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, and responses. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity while maintaining patient confidentiality. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families. Functions as a patient advocate. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care. Interacts professionally with patients and families, involving them in the formation of individualized and mutually agreed-upon plans of care. Reviews, revises, updates, and resolves plans of care daily. Formulates teaching plans based on identified learning needs and evaluates the effectiveness of learning. Includes family in teaching as appropriate. Supervises other healthcare staff involved in patient care. Allocates and monitors the work of others. Assists physicians with procedures in the department. Responds promptly to changes in workload to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of performance improvement activities. Functions as a preceptor to orient new employees. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and workshops. Maintains the operation of patient care equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adequate stock of supplies. Demonstrates flexibility and organization while functioning under stressful situations. Meets all departmental-specific competencies. Performs housekeeping duties when needed. Assists with the transportation of patients as required. Adheres to dress code and medical center policies regarding infection control, safety, and personnel guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
