Sales Manager – Pre-Need Funeral & Cemetery SalesFort Wayne, IndianaWe are looking for a driven, competitive sales leader who wants to build a team, own the number, and grow a meaningful business in the Fort Wayne market.This is a field-focused leadership role for someone who knows how to recruit, coach, inspect activity, drive accountability, and develop sales professionals. The right candidate will be comfortable leading from the front, having direct performance conversations, and creating a culture where activity, follow-up, and results matter.This is not a passive management position. We need a leader who is hands-on, highly organized, competitive, and committed to helping a sales team win.ResponsibilitiesRecruit, hire, onboard, and develop high-performing sales professionalsCoach sales counselors in the field through observation, feedback, and follow-upDrive daily sales activity, prospecting, appointments, presentations, and productionBuild and execute strategies to grow pre-need funeral and cemetery sales across the Fort Wayne marketPartner with funeral home, cemetery, and market leadership to create referral opportunities and improve family follow-throughManage performance expectations with clarity, urgency, and accountabilityUse CRM tools, reporting, and sales dashboards to inspect activity and identify coaching opportunitiesDevelop a team culture built on professionalism, discipline, ethical sales practices, and service to familiesRepresent the Dignity Memorial® brand and local Fort Wayne locations with professionalism in the communityQualifications3+ years of sales leadership, sales management, or high-performing sales experienceProven ability to recruit, coach, motivate, and hold a team accountableStrong prospecting, follow-up, closing, and relationship-building skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, goal-oriented, and comfortable managing performance metricsAbility to lead in the field, not just from behind a deskBachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferredFuneral, cemetery, insurance, financial services, real estate, automotive, or other consultative sales experience is helpful but not requiredIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate has fire in the belly, strong sales discipline, and a desire to lead a team that makes a real difference for families.
