Senior Electrical Engineer – Product Sustaining & RedesignRole OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the redesign and sustainment of anexisting, high-impact consumer product used in premium hospitality environments. Thisrole owns the end-to-end qualification and implementation of alternate electricalcomponents, including obsolete part replacement, PCB updates, testing, and productionrelease.Key Responsibilities Own the redesign of an existing product from obsolete component identificationthrough production implementation. Serve as the technical lead coordinating engineering, quality, testing, manufacturing,and operations teams. Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate electrical components based on existingspecifications and circuit function. Assess PCB, schematic, firmware, or software changes required to support newcomponents. Develop and propose qualification plans and testing strategies. Perform and oversee electrical and environmental testing in compliance with safetyprotocols. Analyze and communicate test results, risks, and recommendations. Define cutover strategies including alpha, beta, and gamma production plans. Partner with operations to update BOMs and support manufacturing implementation. Gather feedback from production plants and support early production runs.Required QualificationsEducation1. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringExperience2. • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience3. • Proven leadership of redesign or sustaining engineering projectsTechnical Skills4. • Strong schematic and PCB comprehension5. • Hands-on lab and test equipment experience6. • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, power meters, humidity chambers, and soldering7. • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills8. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office toolsPreferred Qualifications Experience with 120–277V lighting or building control circuits Familiarity with Altium Designer and PSpice Experience with Silicon Expert or similar part lifecycle tools General understanding of software or firmware (C#, VB, Python) Manufacturing or DFM experience
