Assistant Technical Designer - Men's & Kids' Activewear

The Assistant Technical Designer will support our men’s and kids’ activewear business by working closely with Senior Technical Designers and Technical Design Manager, collaborating with Design, Production and Product Development, and ensuring quality and delivery that align with the company’s values and practices. We have a supportive work environment and opportunities for growth.Responsibilities:Partner with Senior Technical Designer and Manager on the full development lifecycle, from prototype through productionMaintain sample log-in chart, track and open packages, and distribute samplesAssist in measuring and examining Fit/PP samples, comparing factory’s pattern against block pattern using 3D software, and preparing for scheduled fittingsDress samples on mannequins and take photos in fittingsAssist in writing fit comments with necessary detailed sketches and photosCommunicate daily with various overseas vendors via emailOrganize records and keep work-in-progress charts up to dateQualifications:1+ years of experience in Technical DesignBachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field preferredBasic understanding of garment construction, fit, and gradingExcellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentKeen attention to detail and capacity to follow through workflow A sharp eye for fit, proportion, and detail, paired with the ability to communicate technical feedback clearly and constructively Excellent written and verbal communication skillsTeam player, collaborative, solutions-oriented mindsetExperience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, PLM or similar softwarePattern and 3D program knowledge is a plusExperience working on Mac devices is a plusAnnual salary range starting at $55,000+The disclosed salary range is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package.
