No weekends, no holidays, no call. Day off will vary based on need.Safely transports hazardous waste to designated secure storage areas and follows all required training, Chemical Hygiene, Infection Control, PPE, and hazardous material handling protocols.Performs accurate venipuncture and microtainer specimen collection, ensuring proper labeling, order entry, and prioritization of STAT and alert specimens before routine testing.Supports laboratory operations by troubleshooting phlebotomy service concerns, coordinating daily workload assignments, and assisting leadership with workflow and problem resolution.Trains and mentors laboratory staff and students, assists with department orientation, and ensures competency documentation is completed for new employees.Demonstrates professional phlebotomy performance while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards in all laboratory support activities.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. [Required]Ability and willingness to work independently as well as in a team environment. [Required]Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English. [Required]Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. [Required]Phlebotomy (venipuncture and capillary).
