Senior Database Administrator (Remote)

About The Role As a Senior Database Administrator, you will drive the development, design, testing, deployment and iterative improvement of database capabilities, features and APIs.What You'll DoCollaborate with designers, product managers, end-users and other engineers on the database teamLeverage critical thinking, experimentation, data, end-user feedback, and industry best practices to achieve desired business outcomesDevelop and integrate high-quality database products that are secure, simple to use, easy to operate and fully integratedManage all technical aspects related to the database product lifecycle, including code, infrastructure, data, security, CICD and documentationEstablish and evangelize database engineering and software development standardsMentor and assist engineers, driving new ways of improving and simplifying the platform user experience for development teamsImplement software engineering practices using tools that are both cloud-based and on-premisesResponsible for all the database product lifecycle technical aspects, including code, infrastructure, data, security, CICD, and documentation.Contribute to creating high-quality, secure, easy-to-use database products that enhance the development team's user experienceAdditional tasks may be assignedRequired What Skills You HaveAbility to turn complex, distributed systems into highly available, fully integrated and easy-to-use productsExperience in development, infrastructure systems, infrastructure operations and infrastructure securityDemonstrated ability to learn new technologies or techniques quicklyOpen-minded approaches to problem-solving centered around the needs of the customerExperience working with major cloud platforms (GCP and/or AWS), including an understanding of cloud-native database servicesParticipate in on-call rotation to assist in triage and incident resolutionPreferredOracle Certified Professional or equivalent certifications in database technologies5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure platform developmentIn-depth experience with deploying, configuring, migrating, and supporting common stateful distributed systems, messaging, or database technologies such as Oracle, MSSQL, and MySQLIn-depth knowledge and experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test-driven development practicesAdvanced knowledge and experience working with infrastructure as code (IaC) and GitOps methodologies#J-18808-Ljbffr
