Android Techical Lead

Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join Forme as an Android Technical Lead. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of talented engineers to enhance and expand our next-generation fitness products. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing cutting-edge application experiences that delight our users.Responsibilities:Lead the development and productization of our Android application products/featuresOversee the work of other engineers, including those based offshore.Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.Assess existing processes, identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and implement changes.Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.Work with customer support and other stakeholders to monitor field feedback, incorporate learnings and optimize products where appropriate (easier install/setup, defects, etc.)Qualifications:8+ years of experience developing consumer-focused Android applications, ideally with the launch of Android display based hardware devicesProven track record in developing, publishing, and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store (showcase of prior work required).Exceptional understanding of Android UI development using React Native, including developing for multiple devices (various screen sizes) and input mechanisms.
