As a Senior Software Developer in Deltek's Technical Center of Excellence (TCOE), you will serve as a technical subject matter expert responsible for building scalable, high-performance solutions. The Senior Software Developer champions an AI-first approach to engineering, embedding AI tooling and AI-driven solutions into everyday development practice rather than treating AI as an afterthought. You will collaborate closely with customer-facing Technical Consultants and act as a technical anchor, developing and deploying custom solutions across multiple Deltek products.Develop client-specific customizations for global accounts, including Java-based ERP extensions, stored procedure hooks, custom application screens, and batch processing solutions across billing, revenue, purchasing, HR, and general ledger modules.Build structured, reusable code components and pattern libraries to reduce long-term maintenance costs and enable flexible deployment across all products.Tech Enthusiast: Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance quality and efficiency.AI-First Engineering: Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools (code generation, AI pair-programming, automated testing/review) to accelerate delivery and raise code quality across the team.AI Enablement & Coaching: Mentor developers on practical AI skills (prompt engineering, working with LLM APIs, evaluating AI-generated output) and set the standard for responsible AI use on the team.Qualifications:5-8 years of experience in development with proven expertise in technical solution delivery, architecture, process improvement, and technical leadershipSolid understanding of Costpoint extensibility and integration concepts, with hands-on experience in one or more of: the Costpoint extensibility designer, Integration Console (WIC), stored procedures, or JavaFamiliarity with hook-based and event-driven plugin patterns within the Costpoint frameworkDirect Costpoint experience strongly preferred; equivalent depth in a comparable enterprise ERP extensibility framework (SAP ABAP, Oracle EBS, Microsoft Dynamics) considered with expectation of a Costpoint learning curveHands-on experience building with LLMs/generative AI (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI) in production systems, not just familiarity but shipped work.Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic frameworks. Track record of using AI tooling to measurably improve development velocity or quality.Mastery of all technology stacks used by the team, including advanced proficiency in Python, Node.js, .NET, CI/CD, Serverless, and AI/LLM.Proficiency in both Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T-SQL, with experience writing SQL compatible across both platformsProficiency in Maven, Git, Jira, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, and ClaudeExperience with RESTful and SOAP API development and integration US Citizenship required for this positionBad actors or scammers may try to impersonate Deltek and send fake job offers to people.
