Aircraft Structures Assembler

Structure Technician / Aerospace TechnicianThe Structure Technician performs precision drilling, mechanical assembly, and structural bonding of aerospace flight hardware. This role requires working to tight tolerances, installing fasteners and inserts, conducting inspections, and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with aerospace standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDrill and assemble aerospace structural components using specialized tools, fixtures, adhesives, and fasteners.Install rivets, hiloks, helicoils, inserts, and bonded assemblies per engineering specifications.Perform measurements and inspections using calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges to verify precision tolerances.Complete blending, deburring, sealing, and protective treatments (e.g., alodine) on hardware.Use torque tools to install fasteners to specified requirements.Follow work instructions, quality standards, safety procedures, and 5S principles.Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and technicians to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as qualified.Required SkillsAerospace structural assembly or related mechanical experience.Proficiency with drilling, fastening, bonding, and torque tools.Experience working with aluminum and aerospace materials.Ability to read work instructions and maintain tight tolerances (0.001").Skilled in inspections using precision measuring tools.Knowledge of rivets, hiloks, helicoils, sealants, adhesives, and protective coatings.Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Hands-on aerospace production environment involving drilling, assembly, inspections, and handling of flight hardware. Requires use of pneumatic tools, precision measuring equipment, adhesives, sealants, and material handling equipment in a safety-focused, organized workspace.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA.The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
