OR Registered Nurse | Salisbury, North Carolina

Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver specialized perioperative care as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room within a Level 3 Trauma center recognized for excellence in stroke, bariatric, and chest pain care. Salisbury boasts a rich historical backdrop, welcoming community, and a balanced lifestyle that blends small-town charm with accessible urban amenities.Key Responsibilities:Circulate and scrub in surgical procedures including trauma, orthopedic trauma and total joints, spine, cardiac, vascular, gynecology including oncology, robotics, general surgery, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, and plastics.Manage night shift operations with charge RN responsibilities, demonstrating leadership and flexibility during high-acuity cases.Respond efficiently to on-call requirements with a 45-minute response time during designated shifts.Collaborate with clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, and support staff to uphold unit standards.Qualifications & Experience:Minimum of 5 years of OR RN experience; first-time travelers will not be considered.NC RN license and current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.Demonstrated proficiency in laparoscopic and open abdominal surgeries, orthopedic trauma, vascular, robotic, and cystoscopy cases is advantageous.Strong leadership skills with previous charge nurse experience essential for night shift role.Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and a team player with excellent clinical judgment.Work Schedule & Environment:12-hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.Weekend coverage every fourth weekend including call or scheduled shifts.Travelers expected to work approximately 75% of holidays.Orientation includes a 2-day departmental new employee orientation.Free parking provided; scrub uniforms supplied.This contract position offers an opportunity to advance your OR nursing career in a dynamic, supportive environment renowned for surgical excellence.
