Supports clinical employees in their efforts to acquire knowledge and skills, and in their professional development. Typically reports to the campus Manager or Director of Clinical Education and Professional Development.Peri-anesthesia & Interventional PD:Covers PAT, Pre-Op, PACU, Cath-Lab (pre/intra/post); Neuro IR; Cardiac Rehab; Body IR RNs) Critical Care/ICU RN experience preferred.MSN Degree preferred*CPAN Certification or CV-BC Certification or CCRN Certification preferred*PACU experience preferred*Cath-Lab experience preferredCV experience preferredEducation Experience preferredOther Duties: EBP Project management & implementation, workflow operations, data outcomes, real-time quality improvements.Job DescriptionMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.Licenses/Certifications:  Registered Nurse (RN) required, Basic Life Support (BLS) required.Experience / Knowledge / Skills:Two (2) years of nursing experience required.One (1) year education related experience preferred.Effective oral and written communication skills.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESPerforms competency management job functions including needs assessment, gap analysis and monitoring of compliance. Develops and disseminates fundamental educational content/programs utilizing various learning methods/domains.Applies Nursing Professional Development (NPD) scope and standards into practice.Participate in interprofessional collaboration with learners and other stakeholders utilizing effective communication.Demonstrates awareness and understand Evidence Based Projects (EBPs)/research/ quality initiatives.Coaches and provides feedback to preceptors and orientees and assesses orientation progress.Monitors the internal and external environments for opportunities and challenges that may affect professional practice gaps.Facilities learning, change and professional role competence and growth.Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as a resource to less experienced staff.Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
