Orascoptic has invested substantial resources in New Product Development, including development of a new product line that has the potential to redefine our industry. To capitalize on this opportunity, we need a capable leader to spearhead the manufacturing, scaling and deployment of this exciting new technology.
The Product Development Deployment Leader will play an essential role in building, deploying, assessing, and championing this new technology. The focus will begin in manufacturing setup and scaling, proceed to order management and field reliability monitoring, and ultimately transition towards close engagement with field sales teams and customers to accelerate commercial adoption. This position will require extensive cross-functional collaboration and direct engagement with our sales teams and customers. The Product Deployment Leader will guide our organization in the critical transition from design to large-scale revenue impact.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of the Product Deployment Leader will evolve over the course of the launch lifecycle for this new product category.
These responsibilities, in sequential order, will be as follows:
Create: Define and implement a bold manufacturing strategy, with particular emphasis on high productivity, volume and quality in order to support an anticipated rapid shift of company unit volume from other product lines
Run: Lead the relevant manufacturing cells while coordinating with upstream/downstream manufacturing processes to achieve and demonstrate the sustainability of the manufacturing strategy
Assess Inputs: Investigate the upstream order creation processes that define the build specifications for this custom product category, identifying risks, gaps and opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate with the Customer Experience group to implement
Refine: Engage with the Quality function to monitor and understand out-of-box quality and reliability data as the initial launch units arrive and are put into use by our customers. Lead swift corrective action for any manufacturing changes or improvement opportunities identified
Rethink: Engage with the manufacturing leadership team to help identify breakthrough ideas to rethink the manufacturing strategy for adjacent product lines that are cannibalized or impacted by launch of this new product category
Go: Travel to our field sales representatives and customers to understand the sale and experiences of first customers following launch. Identify relevant opportunities for changes to manufacturing and quality processes
Champion: Leverage deep understanding of product features and performance, custom manufacturing process and customer / sales insights to champion adoption of this new product category. Partner directly with global sales and marketing teams to evangelize and drive organization towards breakthrough revenue achievement
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical Engineering preferred)
4+ years of experience managing multiple, concurrent multi-discipline projects or equivalent experience
Demonstrated a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget
Travel expectation: Variable, generally less than 10-20%

PMP Certification
8+ years of experience managing multiple, concurrent multi-discipline projects
Excellent commercial intuition
Ability to work across and engender followership from diverse personalities, including manufacturing operations, final inspection, quality assurance, R&D, sales, marketing and company leadership teams
Experience managing projects in an FDA-regulated environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence and lead a team.
Works independently, is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project.
Familiarity with FDA/ISO/GMP requirements.
Experience with Product Data Management tools (e.g. Agile, MasterControl)

Target Market Salary Range
Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
