Functions as the patient's advocate.Our state-of-the-art hospital in Jacksonville includes 34 operating rooms that include an IMRI OR suite and a dedicated endovascular OR suite. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.QualificationsAll associate degree or diploma registered nurses hired into the Department of Nursing with a RN start date after April 1, 2020, must provide documented evidence of program completion of their baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program within 5 years from the last day of the month of their RN start date.All entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date prior to April 1, 2020 must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing program as stipulated by the degree requirement program in place at time of hire.Graduate of a nursing programGraduate of a baccalaureate nursing program preferred, but not required.One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is preferred.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Experience working in a team environment.Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call.Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills.Current RN license by applicable state requirements.Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.Exemption StatusNonexemptCompensation DetailMayo Clinic has an innovative nursing compensation model that rewards for experience, education, and dedication to the organization.
