This role involves coordinating with various parties including carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destinationCoordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goodsTrack shipments and provide updates to customers as neededPrepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperworkEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade lawsManage relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer serviceEducational background / Work experiencePrior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferredExperience in ocean imports is highly desirableSkills & CompetenciesMathematical SkillsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and ratesOther SkillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / ProcessesKnowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulationsUnderstanding of trade laws and regulationsLanguage skillsFluency in English is requiredKnowledge of additional languages is a plusComputer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with logistics software and systems is preferredAt-Will EmploymentDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.
