Job Description Estimator – Exterior Cladding & Building Envelope Locations: Charleston, SC | Charlotte, NC | Savannah, GAAbout the Opportunity We're working with a well-established commercial contractor that specializes in complex exterior façade and building envelope systems. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Estimator to their preconstruction team.This is a great opportunity to work on high-profile commercial projects while playing a key role in shaping competitive bids and driving project success from the ground up.Position Overview The Estimator will focus on developing accurate and competitive pricing for exterior cladding and façade scopes across a range of commercial construction projects. This role works closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout the preconstruction process.Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for façade and cladding systemsReview drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope and identify riskSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricingDevelop scope clarifications, exclusions, and value engineering optionsCollaborate with project managers, architects, and general contractors during preconstructionManage multiple bids simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentMaintain cost databases, unit pricing, and historical dataSupport project handoff to operations upon awardQualifications 3+ years of estimating experience in exterior cladding, façade systems, or related tradesStrong understanding of building envelope systems (air/water barriers, waterproofing, insulation)Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specificationsStrong analytical and organizational skillsProficiency in Excel and estimating/takeoff softwareEffective communication and coordination abilitiesPreferred Experience Exposure to curtain wall, storefront, or composite panel systemsFamiliarity with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar toolsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldWork Environment Primarily office-based with occasional site visits and pre-bid walkthroughsFast-paced, collaborative team environmentCompensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + performance incentivesHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan with company contributionPaid time off and holidaysLong-term growth opportunities within preconstruction or operationsWhy This Role Work on complex, high-visibility façade projectsJoin a stable, growing contractor with a strong pipelineOpportunity to grow into senior estimating or leadership rolesEqual Opportunity Employer This company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to protected status.
