Job Description Job Title: Junior Estimator – Commercial DrywallLocation: Savannah, GA OR Charleston, SCPosition SummaryAn established commercial construction firm is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimator to support the preconstruction team in preparing accurate cost estimates for drywall and related scopes. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in construction estimating, with opportunities for growth and mentorship.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing quantity takeoffs for drywall, metal studs, insulation, ceilings, and related systemsReview architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and bid documentsSolicit and track vendor and subcontractor pricingHelp compile and organize bid proposals and supporting documentationMaintain and update cost databases and estimating softwareCommunicate with project managers, estimators, and field teams for scope clarificationParticipate in project handoff meetings after awardEnsure deadlines are met for bid submissionsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Basic understanding of construction drawings and terminologyStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environmentStrong communication and willingness to learnPreferred (but not required)Internship or prior exposure to commercial construction or estimatingFamiliarity with takeoff or estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Planswift)Knowledge of drywall systems and materialsWork EnvironmentOffice-based with occasional site visitsCollaborative team setting with training and mentorship providedCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive entry-level salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysCareer development and advancement opportunitiesEqual Opportunity StatementWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
